Cogswell
Cogswell, Joseph Green, D.D. (1786-1871), an American bibliographer, born in Massachusetts, and educated at Harvard and Gottingen. He was professor of geology at Harvard (1820-23), and edited for a time the New York Review, and helped Halleck and Washington to plan the Astor Library, which he superintended for many years.
