Cleator Moor

Cleator Moor, a town in W. Cumberland, on the river Eden, 4 miles S.E. of Whitehaven, and with a station on the London and North-Western Railway. It is in the centre of a coal and iron field, and has smelting furnaces where haematite iron of the best quality is largely manufactured.
