Chlorospermeae

Chlorospermeae, one of Harvey's three primary divisions of algae (q.v.), comprising the Palmellaceae, diatoms, desmids, Confervaceae, Conjugatae, Ulvaceae, etc., most of which are green, and have green reproductive bodies or zoospores.
