Calyciflorae
Calyciflorae, a sub-class of polypetalous Dicotyledons, named from the insertion of the petals and stamens round the margin of the receptacular tube which was erroneously termed the "calyx-tube." This insertion may be perigynous or epigynous according as the tube is free from, or adherent to, the ovary. Among the leading families in the sub-class are the Leguminosae, Rosaceae, Saxifragaceae, Crassulaceae, and Umbelliferae.
