Calovius
Calovius, Abraham, Lutheran controversialist, was born in 1612, at Mohrungen, Prussia. He held various professional appointments in Germany, and never ceased to attack the theological doctrines that differed from his own orthodox Lutheran views. Among his chief works are, Systema Locorum Theologicorum, Biblia Illustrata, and Historia Syncretistica. He died in 1686 at Wittenberg.
