Bullen
Bullen Silt Charles, British admiral, was born in 1769 at Newcastle-on-Tyne, and entering the navy in 1779, became a lieutenant in 1791, a commander in 1798, a captain in 1802, and a rear-admiral in 1837. He was flag-captain to Rear-Admiral Lord Northesk in the Britannia, 100, at Trafalgar, served with success until the end of the war, and died a vice-admiral and K.C.B. in 1853.
