Bray Anna Eliza
Bray, Anna Eliza, authoress, was born in 1790, in London. Her maiden name was Kempe, but in 1825 she married the vicar of Tavistock, the Rev. E. A. Bray. Her works, which are numerous, embrace historical romances, travels, etc., and among them the most valuable is The Borders of the Tamar and the Tary, describing in the form of letters to Southey the legends and superstitions surrounding the town of Tavistock. Mrs. Bray died in 1883, in London.
