Braunsberg
Braunsberg, a town of Prussia and capital of a circle in the government of Konigsberg, is situated near the mouth of the Passarge in the Frische Haff. It is the seat of the bishop of Ermeland and has various educational institutions Its industries embrace woollens, linens, tanning, etc., and it has a considerable trade in ship-timber, corn, and yarn. Till 1632 it was held by the Swedes.
