Bougainvillea
Bougainvillea, a genus of climbing plants, natives of South America, belonging to the order Nyctaginaceae. Their inconspicuous tubular flowers are in groups of three, enclosed by three large sub-membranous tracts of a rosy-pink colour. The genus is named after the French circumnavigator, Louis Antoine de Bougainville (1729-1811).
