Boucherde Crevecoeurde Perthes
Boucher de Crevecoeur de Perthes, Jacques, anthropologist, was born in 1788 at Rethel in Ardennes. Napoleon, under whose notice he had been brought, sent him on various missions to Austria, Germany, Hungary, and Italy. He wrote on various subjects, but his anthropological works only are of importance. He died in 1868 at Abbeville.
