Boston Thomas
Boston, Thomas, divine, was born in 1677, at Dunse, Berwickshire. Educated at the University of Edinburgh, he was, in 1699, appointed minister of a Berwickshire parish, and in 1707 of Ettrick. Selkirkshire. His chief works were Human Nature in its Fourfold State, The Crook in the Lot, and his Autobiography. Through their wide sale these books had a great influence upon the mind of the Scottish people.
