Born

Born, Bertrand de, was born about 1145, at Perigord. He was a troubadour, and many of his songs are still extant. Richard Coeur de Lion is said to have aided his brother against him on account of his satires. Through his verses, too, which heightened the quarrel between Henry II. and his sons, he is placed by Dante in the Inferno. He died about 1209.
