Bombay Duck
Bombay Duck (Harpagon nehereus), an East Indian fish of the family Scopelidae. The elongated body is covered with thin transparent deciduous scales. These fish are natives of the Indian seas, and are taken in large quantities, salted, dried, and exported from Bombay and the Malabar coast. They are well known as a breakfast relish.
