Blondel David

Blondel, David, was born at Chalons-sur-Marne in 1591, and entered the Protestant ministry. He was appointed historiographer to the French king, and afterwards became the successor of Vossius as professor at Amsterdam. He is best known for his exposure of the myth of Pope Joan.
