Bijapur

Bijapur, or Bijatanagur, meaning "city of triumph," is a city of Southern India in the Presidency of Bombay. It was founded in 1336, and was the capital of an extensive kingdom; now it is deserted, and remarkable for its ruins of temples mosques, and other indications of former greatness.
