Beuthen

Beuthen, a town in Prussian Silesia, near the Polish frontier. It is the centre of an important mining district, and manufactures earthenware and woollen cloths. Nieder Beuthen, a smaller town, is situated in the government of Breslau, on the river Oder. It was the capital of the principality of Carolatti-Beuthen.
