Bedeguar
Bedeguar, a gall-like disease found on wild roses, produced by the puncture of a gnat, Rhodites rosae. It is a many-chambered gall, made up of a ball-like tuft of adventitious leaves reduced to hairs, and becoming a bright red, whence its popular name of Robin Redbreast's pin-cushion.
