Bedeau

Bedeau, Marie Alphonse, a French general, born 1804, died 1863. After taking part in military operations in Algeria, he was in 1848 appointed to suppress the disturbances in Paris, but failed completely. On the coup d'etat in 1851 he was arrested and retired into exile.
