Beberia Sulphate

Beberia Sulphate, Beberine. Bebeeru Bark. The greenheart tree, Nectandra Rodiaei, contains an alkaloid beberine applied medicinally in the form of the sulphate Beberiae sulphas. It was thought at one time that it would supersede quinine as an antiperiodic; it is, however, now but rarely heard of.
