Baynes

Baynes., Thomas Spencer, was born at Wellington, Somerset, March 24th, 1823. After being Sir William Hamilton's assistant at Edinburgh University, he became assistant editor of the Daily News (1857-64), and Professor of Logic in St. Andrew's University (1864-87). He edited the ninth edition of the Encyclojicedia Britannica. He died in 1887.
