Baudry
Baudry, Paul, was born at La Roche-sur-Yon in 1828. He is best known as the author of Punishment of a Vestal Virgin, and The Assassination of Marat. For ten years he was engaged in decorating the foyer of the Grand Opera, Paris, and in 1870 was elected a member of the Academie des Beaux Arts. He died in 1886. See Magazine of Art, September, 1886.
