Barriere

Barriere, or La Barre, Pierre, born in a humble station at Orleans about the middle of the sixteenth century, conceived the project of assassinating Henry IV. He revealed his design to Banchi, a Dominican, who betrayed him. Seized at Melun on the eve of executing his design, he was broken on the wheel in 1593.
