Bareges
Bareges, a small town in the department of Hautes Pyrenees, France, standing on the Gave de Bastan, about 33 miles from Tarbes. Its sulphurous springs are highly esteemed for gunshot wounds, and a military hospital is established here. The light woollen tissues named from the place are made chiefly at Bagneres-de-Bigorre (q.v.).
