Banyulssurmer
Banyuls-sur-mer and Banyuls-des-Aspres, two towns in the department of Pyrenees Orientales, France. The first contains four ancient towers, one of which marks the French and Spanish frontier. The second, now a mere village, offered a gallant resistance in 1793 to 7,000 Spaniards, who were compelled to surrender.
