Azurite

Azurite, or Chessylite, blue carbonate of copper, is related in composition to malachite, the green carbonate, with which it is commonly associated. It takes its names from its deep azure blue colour and from Chessy, near Lyons, where- it occurs. When in sufficient quantity it is a valuable ore.
