Auricula

Auricula, a species of Primula, native to the Swiss Alps, with fleshy glaucous leaves and an "eye" or centre to the flower strongly contrasting in colour with the outer rim. Introduced into cultivation three centuries ago, there are now numerous varieties of the species.
