Apperley
Apperley, Charles James, bora in 1777, after being educated at Rugby, and serving in the army, settled down as a fox-hunting farmer, subsequently migrating to France in reduced circumstances. Under the nom de plume of "Nimrod" he wrote for the Sporting Magazine, and was the author of several books which were widely popular. He died in 1843.
