Anthracoscorpii
Anthracoscorpii, a subdivision of the Scorpions, limited to the Palaeozoic. Palaeophonus from the Silurian rocks of Scotland and Sweden, and Eoscorpius from the coal measures, are the best known genera. The members of this group differ from the remainder of the Scorpions (Neoscorpii) in that the eye tubercles on the upper surface are on or close to the anterior margin of the body.
