Anglesite

Anglesite, named from Anglesey, is the sulphate of lead, crystallising in rhombic prisms, white, adamantine, soluble, and more than six times the weight of water. It results from the oxidation of galena, and when abundant, as in Australia, is a valuable ore of lead.
