Almansur
Almansur (Arab. Al-Mansur, The Invincible), a title borne by several Mussulman princes. Abou Giafar-Abdallah Al-Mansur, the second Caliph of the Abbassides dynasty, began to reign in 753. He had to leave Spain to the rival dynasty, but he gained ground in Persia and Asia, founded Bagdad, and made it his capital. He was the first Caliph who protected literature and science. He died on the way to Mecca, in 775.
