Aberration Chromatic

Aberration, Chromatic, an effect observable in simple lenses, due to the different refrangibilities of light of different colours. An object viewed through such a lens will be observed to have coloured edges, the focus for one colour not coinciding with that for another. This defect is remedied by making the lens achromatic.
