De Reszke, Jean. Distinguished operatic singer, brother of Edouard De Reszke. Born at Warsaw, Poland, in 1850. Studied under Ciafei, Cotognia, and Sbriglia. Debut as baritone singer in Favorita, Venice, January, 1874; tenor debut, Madrid, 1879. Appeared in leading roles in grand opera in Europe and United States.
