Bodley, Sir Thomas. A diplomatist in the time of Queen Elizabeth. Born in Paris, 1545. The university library of Oxford was rebuilt by him, and he bequeathed his fortune to support it. It has ever since been called the Bodleian Library. He died in 1613.
