Borgia, Lucrezia. Born in 1480. Sister of Cesare Borgia, and like him, the possessor of an infamous reputation. Her father compelled her twice to marriage and divorce before she became the wife of the Duke of Bisceglia. After her third husband had been murdered by Cesare Borgia, she married Alfonso of Este, and passed her life in the court of Ferrara, cultivating literature and art. Died 1519.
